So guys, I'm just going to do a of a quick introduction to what this is all about, set the frame, set the tone, and then we'll dive in. And I've got Dave Miller here, our AI wizard here joining us today.
And so this is going to be hosted on our podcast, on our YouTube, Spotify, Apple, wherever you find it. This is the Laptop Lifestyle Dads show. My name's Jeff Ross. I'm your caffeinated kangaroo. And we just thought, you know, having a team meeting there the other week, you know, what would be something fresh, something different to be able to help serve our community here at the Laptop Lifestyle Dads. And just because it's called the Laptop Lifestyle Dads community, I just want to make it clear too. We have mums, we have grandmas, we have everything in between.
You know, we'll do a master class on niching down another time, but you know, I am the laptop lifestyle dad, right? You know, I lived that epitome of last couple of weeks. I was in Thailand in about three weeks time. I'm off in India. will be in India, you know, floating around there with my son on a tourist trip there, going to see the Taj Mahal and all of those sorts of things. And, so on our team meeting, we thought it'd be a good opportunity to, you know, sort of give you a little bit of a sneak peek behind the scenes.
You know, also position Jade and Dave as coaches within our Laptop Lifestyle Dance community as well, because it's no longer just about the Jeff Ross show. You know, this has grown, this has matured, and I've got some amazing resources. We've got some amazing coaches here, and Jade and Dave are just two of them. you know, essentially they've come on board with the team here, you know, been serving and helping you guys to be able to master the AI and social selling arena.

We've, we've all three of us have got our own little alter egos with the caffeinated kangaroo and the pumped up platypus. I'm surprised I didn't stuff that up because that's a bit of a mouthful. Yeah, look, I guess I'm, I'm really super excited about just everything that
the Laptop Lifestyle Dad is presenting. We have shifted and changed up a lot. So we may have been a little bit quiet of late, but we have some super exciting things going around in the background that are going to be released really soon. So this is going to be next level epic. It's going to be able to help everybody in the AI and social selling network and master how to master that.
Yeah, we've, we've got some pretty exciting. Yeah. Yeah. Very exciting. And Dave, I love you to just to introduce yourself, champion, you know, share a little bit about your story. 30 seconds or less. And what are you most excited about what we're doing in this community? And I say 30 seconds less because Dave can talk just as much. Yeah, probably. well everybody I'm Dave, obviously. I guess my story is,
I was lost in the wilderness. found this community. I'm no longer lost in the wilderness. Again, as Jade said, there's some epic things coming for everybody. And I guess for me, the best thing for me is I'm just so excited. I mean, I wake up in the mornings these days and I just have that burning urge in my gut to help people with AI and the amazing things that can be done with it.
And, you know, help the people in the community and help others as well. you know, it just, I know there's just so much that can be done since AI has come in and so much that people still learning about it. And once they understand how much easier it can make their life for them and, know, they balance that with what we offer in this community, then, you know, they're on a winner for sure. And certain, and, know, you just won't look back just like I didn't. mean, you know, Jeff started.

You know, we'll, we'll probably push the craze of mine a little bit further than it was. And then there's just been no looking back. just can't get enough of AI stuff. just keep living and breathing it. And yeah, it's, I think it's crazy. it's pretty cool to see. know, you step in both of you stepping up and shining in your own, right. And, and developing your brand and developing your communities around you and who you serve. Right. And that's what we're all about here, you know, helping you to develop your personal brand.
You know, create that following and niche community and then essentially monetize it, you know, and there's several different ways that you can monetize your following. Right. And so they are the three core things that we do here. And, Dave and Jade have been, you know, prodigies, know, they've basically been with me now for the last 15, 16 months, gone through the, the, the, the signature program, coming out the other end of it.
You know, absolutely love what they had to offer and how they could offer the community. And, and now we're doing this together as a collective and a team. And it's a beautiful thing to be a part of. And what's really touches on the point here that, you know, I think, you know, when you find your community that you feel that you belong to, like you don't have to change, you don't have to conform. You don't have to try even transform. Like you'll be transformed in the community that you find that you belong to. Right.
And when you feel that belonging, like you've, you've, you've found your home, that gives you the safe space to be able to stretch your wings and fly, you know, and it gives you the safe space to, to fail forward fast to experiment and try new things. Right. So I just want to touch on based on that for you, you spoke, you had both you, Jade and Dave, you know, how did you come across this community and, what's in it for you? And then on the other side of that.
What do you feel in it for our listeners and our community? How do you see this community impacting your own journey, but also others that are inside this journey? Jade? Look, I come about this. I was sort of told by a friend at the end of last year, I think it was, or mid to late last year, and just offering like your free three -day boot camp.

I was just crazy about AI and chat GPT and really didn't know that much about it. What's having a bit of a play like absolute beginner, but I'm pretty tech savvy anyway. So I'll pick up on things pretty fast. And when I heard about a free like three day challenge, I'm like, yes. Like, yeah, let's jump in guys. did two days of the three day challenge and like, where can I sign up to the next best thing? Like.
What's next? I was already looking forward from the moment that I first met Jeff and really I'd already learned so much just with the value of the challenge. It was just like, right, next level, let's go. Yeah. And it's actually changed everything for me because I was in a transition period of my business. I was
Ending one business and creating another so I could go all in on, branding and marketing and really finding my love of building funnels and you know, websites and landing pages and, really the thing that got me with Jeff was he taught me about the customer value journey and it's shifted everything for me. And I now coach on it myself with what I've learned and just showing other people like,
You know, if we're all in network marketing here or we've got online businesses or you're an affiliate marketer, right? Building that personal brand and bringing it all together. I feel that with everything that I've learned and being a part of this, like an epic part of this community as, as it continually grows, there's so much value that we can offer. And us three together have just created something that is
That is unique, right? We're like a piece of the puzzle. You were the main piece, Geoff, but I feel like not that you were missing anything, but we've been able to extend onto that with what we do, like with Dave and your AI and the GPTs that you create. And I'm that next step from what your course is with about how to put it all together.

and how to utilize it and how to build that personal brand. Like it's just, yeah, it's just, I don't know. It's like a match made in heaven, I guess. It's a very exciting ecosystem that we've created, right? And it's taken us 12 months to develop the foundations for what we've got here. But I believe that, you know, those 12 months now have been like the minimum viable product stage. We've got an amazing community here ready to rock and roll. And now we're ready to go from good to great.
And, like it's, it's very exciting to be locking arms with the, of you and, and others in this community to be able to help serve, you know, and I found, you know, that, that whole philosophy of give, give, give, give, give, give, you know, add value, serve people, meet them where they're at, help them get the few initial wins. When we do ask for something down the road, they're more likely to buy with us. You know, like at the end of the day, we're all in for business, right? We're all here to help serve each other. And, yeah.
The more that you invest into yourself, the closer you will get to the fire. The faster you'll get results because you're, you're plugging into proven predictable systems that are what, know, that you know, that trust and work. Right. And then you obviously, yeah. The person who's teaching you that needs to have a tangible track record that you can see because we're all somebody's guide. You know, like I know Karen here, you know, this listing in now, you know, like she could teach me so much.
When it comes to, you know, emotional intelligence, when it comes to podcasting, you know, when it comes to, you know, the, expertise in her area, you know, and vice versa, I could teach her so much in this area and the AI game. And, I know that I have, know, and all that sort of thing. So we can all help each other, support each other in that community. But a couple of points before I move on today, you know, like the, the interaction that you and I, Jade had at the very first level, right?
is you were looking for something that fit that met your need. You know, and that's all marketing 101 is, is putting the right product at the front of the right people at the right time. You was the right time for you tick. It was the right product for you. Cause you're already looking tick. You know, and now it's just a matter of finding the right opportunity, the right offer for you being a free bootcamp tick, you know, got you across the line that got you in the door.

But what my question for you is, is why did you stay? With you. That's easy. Relationship, right? Yeah. Look, we connected. I opened up to you. Like my journey, you opened up to me. Like just on a conversation, right? And, you know, we got each other. And yeah, we it. We met it. We met each other at heart to heart level, right? Yeah. And we got raw and vulnerable. And then that because of that trust that was formed,
We were able to go lock arms and go do the work. Yeah, exactly. And it just bloomed into just, you know, we call each other family now, like all three of us, like, you know, it's so much more than business. it's life. Like, yeah. know, there's something's going wrong in the background with, know, the one of the first to know that's going on and it's not just professional. It's not just business. This really is like doing intimate life together in community. Right? Yeah, absolutely. And.
And you always, you're not going to be able to do that with everybody. Like you always have your inner circle and then you have your next circle and your next circle and your next circle. But you know, there's a safe space for a community to grow in that space. Right. And a healthy community needs a healthy leader, these healthy habits. And out of that, you'll get a healthy community. And I feel like we've got all those elements to be able to thrive in that space. So Jade, absolute pleasure working with you champion. Can't wait to really put a spotlight on your genius zone.
and really shine the light and help you to serve your amazing tribe in this community like you already do and just take that to the next level. Thank you. So Dave, got made over to you, champion. You know, I love for you just to share, you know, how you got connected with this community. You know, what were some of those key elements that helped you to feel like you belong so that you could stretch your wings and learn how to fly?
As long as I can have more than 30 seconds. I'm sure you get more than 30 seconds this time. Well, similar to Jade really. I'd been playing with AI a little bit, and sort of thought I knew what I was doing a bit with it. and I guess really, I know, I think I'd have seen some Facebook posts of yours to be honest. And then we sort of, connected. I think you probably sent me a message or two. And then I seen the free, bootcamp. and I went to that and it was just like, wow.

I didn't really know much at all. in, well, I knew how to operate the tools, but I didn't know how to get the best out of them. And I guess that's sort of what, drew, well, one of the things that drew me to continuing on was the, what I actually got out of the course and learning on how to actually get the best out of the tools. and it's been a long journey since then. I guess for me, why I stayed, it was the same thing. I don't know. just resonated with you. I liked the way that you,
You taught, you were coaching us, you know, and yes, we've come a long way. we are all family here now. so, you know, that was just a no brainer really. and, yeah, I just think that it's just the person. think it's just the personality that the, know, the personality, how you lead things that you're, you walk the walk. You talk to talk, same as Jade.
You know, we're all here for each other. We're all got our backs, but I guess more importantly, we're all here for the community. know, as Jade sort of alluded to, you know, what we've got coming, he is going to be next level Epic. And, you know, this is giving us a chance to, to shine alongside of you, but it's just going to be so much benefit for the community. And like Jade said, I guess it's not that there was a missing part, but I guess.
the circle here now is, you I guess, you know, you're the starting, starting and starting point and probably sort of the end point as well. But, you know, then I've got the tools that can help people to implement what you teach them. And then Jade, when they also will work with what Jade's teaching as well. And that just closes that circle off. you know, it's a, it's a complete circle now of, you know, what we can offer to the community and they can get the best out of it, you know, speed their process up if they want to.
you know, they can keep chugging along and, and do it at their own pace. It was always my vision to create something that there's, there's something for everybody. If you're just getting started where you know, the place for you, if you, you know, your intermediates, you had been at the game for five or six years, you know, you've picked up a few skills along the way, but you're looking to hone them and, specialize and, know, go in, go in and find your, your, your niche, you know, the way you serve people, then we're the place for you too.

But also the other way we're a community to do, you know, collaborative projects and, you know, lock arms with other seasoned professionals and, and really help support this community. Right. So, sad news is there are no more, no more free boot camps happening in the laptop lifestyle dad's community. You know, where that I believe that that's had its day and, you know, we've gone through and it helped us to lay the foundation.
but you won't see any more free boot camps here in the laptop livestock dance community. So what are we replacing that with? Well, I'm not going to give all the beans away right now, but the free product here, you know, like the, believe every marketing funnel leads to have some sort of lead magnet, right? And that lead magnet is normally positioned as a freemium product. We talk about this in the customer value journey. It doesn't matter if you're already a rep for another wet mccracken company or.
You know, you're, you're a service provider or whatever it is, you know, you need some sort of freemium product out the front. As you just heard two perfect examples. would never have met Dave and Jade. It's not Jave. did get it right that time. Didn't I never would have met Jade and Dave if it wasn't for the free bootcamp. So what is going to replace our free bootcamp is this community guys. This is our freemium product.
It's the laptop lifestyle dad's Facebook group here to learn how to master social selling and AI mastery at that level. No matter where you are on your journey, we're going to host master classes. We're going to bring in collaborative expert, you know, and do collaborative projects with other experts here. Like you've already seen us do with Dave Smith from Unipro and Austin Armstrong from syllabi, Jeff J Hunter. You know, we've got our podcast. It's going to give us connected with other experts.
And we'll bring those experts and serve our community here in this space like that personally. And I will be running at least once a month, a masterclass as well. And I just put in my calendar there for the 24th of September at 2pm Sydney time. I'm going to do a sales and recruiting basics 101 masterclass. You know, so like being a sales professional for the last 20 odd years, I can see that catchy is on here.

Yeah, catchy remembers me right back from the National College of Business days at the NCB, you know, going out there and pounding the pavement, walking into the doors of, you know, the businesses of Brisbane and selling business coaching packages. You know, I've sold just about everything from business coaching to timeshare to the Woolworths credit card, solar power, to services to, you know, just about anything that you can think of. And, you know, I've probably made
quite a few million dollars in revenue and sales. So to toot me own horn for a second, I might know a thing or two. And so I'm going to teach you how I recruit in today's world for a network marketing business and give you some sales 101 basics. Like things like frameworks, like Phil felt found, you know, how do you handle an objection? Well, hey, I understand how you feel. You know, I felt completely the same way, but what I found was XYZ.
You know, simple tools like, you know, how to build rapport with people, you know, like in how to, you know, dig into the pain to offer the solution. You know, like I take these for granted because I do them every day. And, and I know like people like catchy that's listening here and you know, and that sort of thing. do this stuff every day of our lives because it's just ingrained into their DNA, into the foundations of how we sell. But guys, if you want to be in this game, you want to be successful, you've got to learn how to sell.
You know, there's two ways to sell there. can either manipulate people into taking action, or you can inspire and empower people to take action to help them benefit their lives. So I'm going to provide, you know, from extensive experience, you know, and hours of sales professional work. I'm going to give you my sales coaching mastery 101 basics to be able to help you to learn how to master the game when it comes to selling, you know, that social selling part. You got to learn how to sell right.

So before we wrap up and before we move on, Jade, you know, I suppose what is one thing that you feel, you know, with your expertise, your genius zone, you know, what is that one thing that you're going to bring to this community and that you're most excited about and how's that going to work for you?
putting you on the spot here. Yep. certainly are. Yep. Yep. Wasn't expecting that. Actually I was. I feel, I'm finding more and more heart in my business and really I find that people struggle the most with personal branding and how to actually, if you're doing multiple things, now, if you're in the online or the like marketing space or, you know, network marketing, affiliate marketing, which
You know, everything seems to be transitioning to like it's the way of the future, right? Things are shifting in the network mastering mass network marketing industry. And, you know, how do you put things together when you've got multiple offers? I know so many people that are overwhelmed and have no idea how to do it. I, I can show you, I can help you.
bring your brand out, I can help bring out who you are. And we can set up funnels, we can set up landing pages that can actually attract people to help you grow your business, whether it's leads, whether it's sales, whatever you want, and how to get all of your offers out there without confusing people. Because if you are doing multiple things, which all of us are, right? Because one income stream,

is not enough these days. You've got to have backup, right? You've got to have multiple things going on in case something doesn't work. You've got options, right? I know everybody's feeling the pinch at the moment, like times are tough. So how can we make that better? Right? You've multiple income streams. But it's actually how to promote that without being salesy. that's how I can...
You know, jump in here and share that value and tips and, you know, the tricks that can actually help bring that together. But if you're struggling with that, you can come to me and, you know, I can help you build your brand. Yeah. It's a, it's multiple income streams leading out the front with you as the personal brand and strategic placements of the products and opportunities that you have out the front and where you have them on the backend and all of that sort of thing. So Jade and I work really, really well in that space.
I would say we own that space and, you know, I can definitely help in there, you know, the AI fundamentals and, you know, helping you to learn how to niche down and all that sort of thing. And, Jade's more into the backend with the systems and the mechanics of it all. and, you know, we can definitely really lock arms and serve, you know, and help you in that space to be able to master the game in there. So I'll come back to you as Jade, but Dave, what is one thing that.
you know, that you're most excited about that you feel that you can bring into this community and shine the light on your genius zone.
okay. Only one thing. Yeah. then well, basically teaching them how to, I guess, speed the process up, to, to enable themselves to get to Jade's area, I suppose, or when they do, they're not so they're not overwhelmed with, you know, trying to write copy and, emails and,

much anything for social media posts. you know, create images for social media posts. yeah, basically I can give them the know -how to create everything that they need and get their life back and, know, go and, and, do the social media thing, I guess. And, and, what I mean by that is they can then go into a, well, either they're genius or they can spend more time communicating with people and that instead of being stuck there for, you know, eight hours a day. What
The products that I actually create, you know, at a minimum would sort of save them 20 to 40 % of their time as to what they would normally do. And if they're only a beginner, probably save them 90 % of their time, to be honest. you know, to speed up that whole process is just, yeah, I think is where I'm going to really be able to help them. Yeah. 100%. You know, you've definitely done that for us. And, you know, I think what Dave, you know, he's underestimating what he has to bring here and he essentially helps you buy your time back.
You know, by creating little bots to be able to help you do your marketing planning, to a couple little bot to help you to do your social media content, to do your bot to create amazing images. Like he creates these little AI helpers, you know, to observe in that space and, and essentially help you to buy your time back. So you're not bogged down in the mundane and you can go shine where you need to shine and loving that Dave can bring that to the mix. And, you know, guys, just, I'll go to you day first.
You know, so if you're, you know, promoting the laptop lifestyle, dad's community to somebody that's never ever met this, you know, this tribe, this audience has no idea what's in it for them. You know, what is the, you know, why would you, why would someone want to come join the laptop lifestyle dad's community and what's, what's in it for them? Just because of us, we're pretty cool to hang around. but other than that, well, if I really, really, really, I guess anybody that's in any sort of marketing, guess.
Jade, hit it on the head there before it's all about, I guess you need a new personal brand so that then you can offer all those little, you know, products on the shelf, so to speak. So to come here, they're definitely going to get to, you know, learn how to, we're going to learn the, guess the, the social selling, part of it. Then they're obviously going to learn how to really get the best out of their AI, you know, however they want to use it as well. So.

I guess they're pretty much just learning, you know, from the basics of, Of marketing right up to the end, up to the end point. So you basically, know, you're like, did with us, you took us from, you know, caterpillars to butterflies and you're taking them along that whole journey. And to go into it, I probably need an hour to go through every step of it, but, know, they're basically, you know, for you basically starting, you could have, you could have no clue whatsoever. and even by the time, well, it was the
boot camp before, but Biden, you know, when you do one of our courses, for instance, the, you know, by the time I got to that own course, I just went, wow, I just thought I knew so much that I didn't actually know. Like, you know, and basically from being, well, you know, it's gonna be a baby and crawl. It'll take you step by step all the way through so that you're up and starting to run marathons. And, know, they, with the people that are in the community and the knowledge that's in the community,
you know, they can always bounce things off everybody. And there's just so many people that are willing to help. And there's just so much knowledge out there. So for me, that is probably the thing is the actual community and. So you can start with nothing and end up with something and be focused in on, what you're actually doing. Yeah. Brilliant. Love it. And same question for you, Jay. what was the question?
So if you're, you know, you're, you're promoting this community to somebody who's completely new, doesn't know what's in it for them. You know, nothing about it. How would you promote it and what's in it for others? yeah. Just the whole aspect, right? Knowing what I know, like what we can offer people, but just even, you know, before Dave and I come along, it there's just, you're giving opportunity to people to, to teach them.
you know, how to actually do things right. It's, you know, with chat GPT when, you know, I know there's a lot more, you know, different platforms and everything out now that offer the same kind of process, but you actually, you know, provide prompts and the clarity on really, you know, just

getting to understand how everything works properly. And you know, it's, you're authentic. You show up as you and you bounce the caffeinated kangaroo. Because that's you, right? Like you attract those people. And if I was to bring someone in here, I want them to be a part of this community because you have so much to offer. We all have so much to offer.
The we part. Like I truly believe that, you know, collectively we have so much to offer and it's, there is something for everybody, every stage of the game here. And, you know, like I'm 16 year veteran, I've been mentored by some of the grades like Frank Kern, Ryan Dice, Adrian Morrison, just to name a few. and, know, I feel like some of the, the other things here that we can really just highlight is especially from my own experience. And I was just something that really caught my attention the other day with regards to like this opportunity called shoply that we're all part of.
And I feel like, you know, my own experience, my own background is a very robust. It's very all rounder. It's not like I'm just a network marketer and that's the only game that I know how to play. Like guys in 2017, I went all in with Adrian Morrison with e -commerce success Academy, you know, so like the e -commerce arena, very, very familiar with it, especially the drop shipping model had a business that we did $1 .6 million in four months using Facebook ads as the main marketing source.
You know, on the back of that, know, pivot and adjusted had a full service digital marketing agency before COVID where I employed five people full time and we're developing funnels and websites and email marketing campaigns and Facebook ad campaigns, social media, the whole lot. It was like a full service agency, servicing gyms, cryo practice, massage centers, like the health industry.
